The last time my friend Sylvie was in town we talked about her coming back to do an article about the evolution of tapas in Sevilla. For awhile it looked like it wasn’t going to happen, then suddenly it was all systems go and before long we were meeting at her hotel for what would become a fun and delicious three-day Tapeo Extremo.
As you can imagine, I was very excited to be a part of this project, but was sworn to secrecy about it until the article was published – which was yesterday! Aside from obviously being pleased at having my tapas tours mentioned in the Washington Post (!!), I was also very excited to see friends and colleagues that I admire getting some well-deserved international attention. You can read the article here…
In Seville, Spain, young chefs are creating the next generation of tapas
Nice article!
I hope you get to hook up with Tara and her fella. She is a chef, quite a whirlwind, hugely opinionated but can be good fun. Anyway hopefully is a bit of business your way.
How are you dear friend? I so badly want to visit Seville again and hang out, drink ice cold beer and delicious sherries with you. Russell is trying to sell his little place in wales and when he does our finances will be a bit healthier and Then we will travel again! Could take a long time though 🙁.
I may be taking my business up to the Abergavenny food fest this September and I noticed your friend Jose Pizarro will be there! Can you come over for it ? – you’d love it.
Must crack on now – tickets to sell for yet another event I didn’t really want to put on!
Big love. Xxx
Ps. Just wanted to say how immensely impressed I am by the way you’ve lived your life – you are incredibly inspiring to me. X
