This week our Gastro Guías enjoyed their last event until summer break, a private cooking class at Taller Andaluz de Cocina in Triana Market. And it couldn’t have been better. I first did a class with them back in 2015 and it was terrific, so when we were looking for a way to close out our first season this seemed like a fun option. And well, not only was it fun, but everyone learned a lot and we got to eat all the amazing food we prepared ourselves with a glass of wine.

The last time I saw my sister Sue was when she was back in town in 2014. So it was a wonderful surprise when she left a message here the other day saying she would be passing through Sevilla over the weekend with her husband Greg. Anyhow, as Paul is also in town this week we decided to all get together for a fabulous feast, with Peter joining us too. And feast we did. We started off with a few tapitas at Casa Morales and then moved on for the “main course” at Señor Cangrejo.
It was a lovely afternoon, catching up, lots of laughs and some reminiscing. Sure hope it’s not another ten years before I see her again.

Today I did my last tapas tour until September… really hoping that by then I will have slowly moved on to my next whatever (though it will still always include a few tours here and there). But I feel I do need some time off to figure that out. Wish me luck!
