Today I did my last tapas tour until September… really hoping that by then I will have slowly moved on to my next whatever (though it will still always include a few tours here and there). But I feel I do need some time off to figure that out. Wish me luck!

What a great week with two batches of new sherry converts! First up (above) Leigh, Anna, Spike and Alex on a Sherry Tapas Tour (3 bars, lots of sherry, food and fun) and then a Sherry Tapas Tasting (below) with Maria, Steve, Chris, Bert and Pam (shorter version at Casa Morales). Love my job. 👸🏻🥂

These days I prefer to do lunchtime tapas tours for various reasons, mostly to do with my dodgy knee and being OLD now… by 8 pm all I want to do is cosy up in my PJs with Morcilla and watch TV. But sometimes I end up taking the “night shift” and am invariably rewarded by lovely scenes like this on my way home. Worth it. 🌙 💛

It’s been years since I ordered new biz cards, for the obvious reason of Covid and all that has followed, and even after getting back to work they just didn’t seem relevant any more. Like, who still uses business cards? Well it turns out that plenty of people do and, after finding myself at a couple of work events where I was asked for my card, I decided it was time to put a few in my bag for such occasions. But of course the info on my old cards was out of date so… new Moo cards for 2023.

The physical copy of this month’s Decanter Magazine arrived today, with many thanks to Michael (and no thanks to Brexit!). He tried to post it from London and was told it would have to go Priority Post as they were no longer offering regular post to Europe because of the various strikes, etc and that would have cost him 59£ . Like what? So I told him I’d try and find another option. But then it was Michael to the rescue when he found out the son of his friend Pankaj would be in Barcelona soon and could post it from there. Phew! I always say it never feels real until I’m holding that baby in my hot little hands.

Decanter Experts page and like… OMG.
