Since Tomoko stayed at my place to look after the cats while I was on holiday in the Basque Country last month, she has been missing her favourite boy. And well, I think Loki has missed her too. So while Tomoko was back in town for the day we met up for lunch and then spent some time at Casa Azahar with the beasts before she had to catch her train back to Jerez. Lovely afternoon.

Saw this on Instagram recently and, while I wouldn’t say NEVER, I can easily say HARDLY EVER. And just so y’all know… no, it’s not easy and, yes, I am always afraid. But I just keep doing. Because that’s all I know, to keep on doing. So maybe the next time you feel threatened by your imagined concept of me, and before you project your insecure shit onto me and decide I am somehow “too this or too that”… remember that I am actually terrified. All the time. EVERY WAKING MOMENT. And yet I keep getting up in the morning, and I keep on doing stuff in spite of all that. Then ask yourself how well you would do under the same circumstances. And think about it.

While I was away last week Tomoko stayed at my place, looking after the cats, and sending me daily photos (which I really appreciated). Then one day she sent me the two pics above saying… “um, should I stop her?”. Ha. Of course I said no, and explained that this was the reason I put curtains up in that room in the first place. So Morcilla could get back to her ninja climbing routine. Now I just need to rig up some sort of “stair replacement” for the other two.

Tomoko is here! She is going to be cat & house sitting while I am away, which will also be a nice holiday for her (she loves cats!). But we have a couple of days together to catch up – and for Tomoko to learn an the Stupid Cat Rules. 😉
Tonight I took her out on a preview of my new San Lorenzo Tapas Tour, which will be starting in September. I think it’s going to be great.

One good thing about having a house guest is having to properly clean your house, which is how I spent most of this week. For example, you can see that the chair and cushions are actually RED, now that they’re not covered in ginger and white fur. Anyhow, here’s Loki getting another start on the fur thing – for some reason the guest room is where he prefers to hang out.
