Twitter does it again! Or rather, a Twitter-Instagram alliance in this case (we have a lot of virtual friends in common). As a result, I ended up meeting Carl for a quick fino, which then turned into an impromptu 7-hour Tapeo Extremo. It was a great afternoon (and evening) and Carl has even offered to be the first victim guest on this week’s preview of the new We Love Tapas Craft Beer & Tapas Tour. Stay tuned!

It turns out that I signed up for Snapchat ages ago, but I never did anything with it because it seemed like a waste of time putting stuff online that ends up disappearing. For me the most frustrating thing Instagram is that you can’t archive stuff (which is why I also share EVERYTHING on Tumblr – I like that I can search by the month and all the pics I’ve put anywhere online show up). So why would I bother putting up pics that just go away? Also, not being able to use my photo library feels limiting. And so on… and so, no Snapchat for me. Except that lately I see that so many people are using it, and especially companies. What’s in it for them? Then I came across this article the other day and it got me thinking that I should start using this tool… Snapchat Features You Didn’t Know Existed
I’m not totally convinced though. Anyone else out there using Snapchat who would like to sing its praises? I’m all ears.

Way back in 2010 I created my first About Me pages and then pretty much forgot about them. Then this week I got an email notice saying that someone I know had started following the Sevilla Tapas page and I went back and had another look. Which ended up with me updating the Sevilla Tapas page and starting a new one for We Love Tapas. So if any of you out there have About Me pages let me know and I’ll follow you too. And maybe one day I’ll even figure out what these are good for. 😉

Behold my new Facebook business page for Sevilla Tapas! Thing is, shortly after starting up this page as a personal profile almost seven years ago I realised I had “oopsed” and it should have been what was then known as a Fan Page. Awhile later I did start up a page and tried to get all my “Friends” to shift over, but nobody did, so I kept on with my illicit Sevilla Tapas Profile Page. Until today. I saw somewhere that in the past year Facebook made it possible to “migrate” from profile to biz page without losing “Friends”. But this didn’t include content. Which in my case meant five years of content that I’d lose. But I decided what the hell and did the migration this morning, maintaining over 5000 followers and losing all my posts. I don’t think that actually matters since I don’t think people really look through the history of a page. Better to have the followers. And so if you haven’t “liked” Sevilla Tapas yet, go right ahead…
