cheese bread wine

So this was fun! I was invited to a cheese, bread and wine tasting at Sevilla’s new international hospitality school Gastromiun. My friend Rafa Bellido presented five Spanish wines which we later paired with national cheeses and local bread and, as always, I learned a lot. Still hoping to find a good accredited Spanish wine course. Perhaps I could persuade the school directors?

decanter cadiz

Yay! My copy of Decanter arrived today with my travel article about Cádiz. Many thanks to Michael @RenoirGuides for sending it – somehow it never feels real until I’m holding the magazine in my hot little hands. Thinking about where to go next. Any ideas? 🍷

UPDATE: it’s now online!

toni sarrión

On Monday I had the pleasure of being invited to a wine tasting led by Toni Sarrión, winemaker/owner of the fabulous Bodegas Mustiguillo (which also gets a mention in my latest Decanter article about Valencia). Not only delicious wines but also a lovely setting on the river front at the posh Abades restaurant, once again being swept up in Toni’s passion for his wines and his process. He’s a bit of a rebel. And I have certainly had worse Mondays! 🍷
