After all this practice I STILL got confuddled during the blind tasting this afternoon. But it’s all over now… exam results tonight! *fingerscrossed*

I started off yesterday with a “off the schedule” visit to Bodegas Lustau, which was great. I first went there about a year and a half ago and this time we were shown around by Juan, followed by a tasting of their fabulous sherries.
In the evening the course officially started off with a history lesson in El Puerto de Santa María followed by dinner in the San Marco castle. There are 25 of us taking the course. So far I’ve only met and spoken with a few of them. Now dashing off for an action-packed Day Two. So thrilled to be doing this.

The Twitter magic continues… with a surprise visit by Milli @milliskitchen and her family who run the gorgeous @rancherdelingles near Málaga city. I’ve known Milli and mum Miyuki (on Twitter and Instagram) for awhile now, and got to meet Milli in person when I was in London last June. So it was an extra special treat to meet the whole family, including dad David and brother Cameron. We were just going to meet up for a drink after I’d finished a lunchtime tapas tour, which somehow ended up segueing into an impromptu evening tapas tour. Fun times.

This morning I registered two Sevilla events for International Sherry Week. Would like to do a few more, just have to organise them with the other venues. It’s going to be a very sherry week.
