Remember back when Jovia was born?
Well, Joe and I were chatting on IM the other day and he sent me this photo, taken last month.
I mean honestly, could that kid get any cuter???

Today’s Photohunter theme is “chipped”.
(click on pic to enlarge)
Here are two photos taken when I was 15 that show my chipped front tooth. A couple of years previously I had been outside on a cold Winnipeg winter night trying to brush snow off the windscreen of the family car and somehow jumped up and slipped at the same time, my face smashing against the glass and breaking my front tooth. Both front teeth have long since been filed down so the chip is less noticable now.

On Tuesday, just before I was about to go out to meet Pipocas for a lunch meeting, I got a call from Nog saying that he had lost his wallet. He was between classes – actually, going from his class with Dr A to an interview with a prospective new student – and when he got to the bike station and felt for his wallet to take out his bike card … it wasn’t there! The curious thing was that he remembered having it when Dr A paid him (because he put the money in his wallet) but somewhere between there and the bike station it had disappeared. So not only was he out 75€, but his credit card had to be cancelled and his Spanish residence ID card also had to be replaced. Because there was no way he was ever going to see his wallet again, right?

Yesterday morning I went to yoga class and then came home to ride The Bike for an hour (go me!). I was also helping Nog with a temp job doing exam prep stuff for an English school and trying to figure out how to update my WordPress, so I didn’t get round to looking at the first “baby step task” on my list until after lunch. This was to put google maps on the tapas blog so that people could see the locations with just one click. Before I knew it, it was 8 o’clock and my one class of the day was at the door – and I was still in my sit-around-the-house clothes (eep!). But as it was an old student/friend coming back after a few years it didn’t matter … much.
