Cathy is back in town this week and today we met up for a quick catch up. Last time (actually also the first time) I saw her was back in 2019. We started off at Manolo Cateca for a cheeky sherry before heading over to La Barra de Cañabota, which Cathy hadn’t been to for. A lovely time, delicious bites and lots of chat. See you soon, Cathy!

Whenever I’m asked what my favourite tapas bar is (and I get asked that a LOT) or even my top five, I can never answer. Likewise with my favourite song or movie. You know, it always depends. My mood, the weather… lots of variables to consider. But if anyone ever asks me what my favourite TV series of all time is I do not hesitate… it’s The Wire. It just is. Nothing else even comes close. I have followed its creator and writer David Simon on social media for years, first on Twitter and now on Bluesky, and this past weekend THIS happened. Stay tuned…
