After a rather shaky & stressful start, my 4-day long weekend couldn’t have been better. Well okay, we could have passed on bussing out to Marbella on Saturday to go to the new M&S there – that was a real waste of time and money. The M&S was tiny with a very uninteresting selection of products. They didn’t even have any decent Christmas cards for me to use next year! But they did have mince pies (bought two packets) and amazing blueberry muffins (Jessica got some for brekky). And I also got some lovely Belgian chocolates – I left one box as a thank-you gift in Manolo’s kitchen, the other I’ll give to “mi salvadora” Isabel. But I’m getting ahead of myself …

Manolo called me last weekend and said it looked like he wasn’t going to be using his Málaga apartment this long weekend after all and so it would be okay for me to stay there instead of in the Marbella apartment. Now this makes a difference! First of all, it’s quite easy and cheap to get to Málaga by train (Marbella would have been two bus rides and I had no idea about the connections) and of course Málaga is where I really wanted to go. Sure I’d still like to go to the new Marks & Spencer in Marbella and get some mince pies, but I can do that Saturday afternoon and then spend the rest of the time in Málaga. The apartment is on that jutty outy bit in the middle of the port (on the map). I’m so excited!

Remember last August when my friend Manolo offered me the use of his lovely apartment in Málaga? Nog and I spent a fabulous week there and I really fell in love with the city. I’ve been wanting to go back ever since and was especially hoping to make it there during the Christmas season as I hear they really do it up nicely in Málaga – I’m a total Christmas fool and lover of pretty fairy lights and all such festive sparkliness. But it turns out that Manolo, who lives in Seville, has been using his Málaga apartment a lot more of late and so it isn’t as available for friends as it once was. But then it turned out that there is another option …

Yet another blog/website… solholidays
This one I’ve made for my friend Manolo. I help him with renting out three holiday apartments he has on the Costa del Sol, which he has listed on a few different websites (I take care of the correspondence). And so, because I love any excuse to try setting up a nice looking page, I did this one up for him the other day.
What do you think? Anything I should add or change, other than the photos? I’m hoping to get down there for a weekend soon and take some pics – the ones that are posted were given to me by Manolo. I should also add a map. Anyhow, I’d appreciate any feedback you’d like to pass on. Thanks! 🙂
