My friend Fourat has just opened a restaurant literally a stones throw from my balcony. Stopped in for a first quick visit and omg it’s fabulous. Lebanese food, full of flavour and textures… as soon as you walk in you are enveloped in the fragrant aroma of all the gorgeous spices. Also beautiful décor designed by Fourat. I just found out that my friend Craig Lawrence (aka zoomer) died last month after a long struggle with Parkinson’s. This was us back in 2008 when he came to visit. No other words, other than thanks for being so kind and for your lovely big bear hugs. Hasta siempre amigo mío xx

With the threat of massive rain storms this weekend I took advantage of a somewhat sunny Thursday to get ALL the laundry done and also, as it’s getting a bit chilly, to air out the duvet in the sun up on the roof (just in case). When it came back in I laid it out on the clothes rack and Morcilla has decided this is her new favourite spot. Until it ends up on my bed.
