Malaga, sea

A couple of iPhone shots taken yesterday from the apartment terrace … the beach when I arrived and the port just before I went to bed. I can’t imagine coming to Málaga and not staying here at Manolo’s place. It really feels like home. And it isn’t just the terrace views that are different – I feel different here. Maybe it’s the sea?

Anyhow, very busy day as I am just about to go meet Victoria, spend the morning at the bodega and then head out to the vineyards at noon to meet with the American group. More later…

Remember when I was wondering what would happen to all my online stuff when I die?

Well, Lisa over at Cybercoven took it further and actually wrote up a will protecting her writing. She downloaded Neil Gaiman’s simple will for creative people, made a few changes, and now has all her stuff in order.

So I am now going to do the same. I don’t really have any intellectual property to protect, but I would like to know that my blogs and social media stuff won’t just be left stuck out there. I’ve already had an offer from someone willing to take care of Sevilla Tapas. For the rest I’ll mostly need someone to either maintain or delete accounts. Feels weird to be doing this but I think it’s better to deal with it while I am still well & healthy.

How about you – have you made a will?

cats

[click for extra large cuteness]

Lately I’ve wondered if getting a kitten for Azar was such a good idea, especially now that Loki is growing like a weed and getting quite rambunctious. He is sometimes quite rough when “playing” with Azar and I worry about him doing damage when I’m not around to separate them. But then I see them like this, tangled up in the sheets together, and reckon it’s all part of the deal. Also, Loki may calm down a bit once I get him “neutralised” later on this month …

cancer, chemo port, hospital

Busy hospital/health care day. First an early morning trip to the health centre to get my bloodwork done in time for my next oncology appointment (May 24th). Then to the hospital later this afternoon to get the chemo port flushed. The blood test is no big deal – other than not being able to have coffee when I get up – as it’s just a short walk to the health centre and I don’t have any scary memories attached to the place. But we all know how I feel about the hospital! Which is why I am so pleased to report that this will be the third time I’ve gone to get my port flushed all by myself. Okay, I still go in a taxi (feels safer somehow), but I time it so that afterwards I can meet Nog after his last class of the day, which is about a ten minute walk from the hospital, and then we go for a drink and maybe a tapa and have a nice walk home. Pretty good, eh?

In fact, I think I deserve a medal!  🙂
