Another very successful Market & Tapas Tour! I actually wish I got more requests for this particular food tour because it’s really a lot of fun, and it makes a nice change for me to work during the day and have the evening off. In other news… I graduated to using ONE CRUTCH for this tour and it was fine. Still very painful feet but it wasn’t any worse with just the one crutch. Also much easier to manoeuvre. I think I’ll hobble over to the doctor’s this week and see about arranging some physio (okay Beth??).

So after resting my sad and sorry feet all weekend I ended up out and about all day! First stop was the official Sevilla launch for the fabulous Tío Pepe en Rama, which meant being on my feet quite a bit (though I took the tram part of the way there)….

Then it was home again to rest up for a couple of hours before my Sherry & Tapas Tour. Peter has been helping me out lately by doing some of my tapas tours, but this is one that I have to do myself. As you can see, it went very well…

After that I was on my way home with Peter, who’d come to meet me at the final stop, when we got kidnapped by the owners of a new bar in my barrio. They were holding a pre-feria party – including lots of fried fish and fino – and invited us in. Well, would you have said no…?

So today I’ve been a good girl and have stayed in resting up for more tours starting mañana. How was your Monday?

Morcilla kind of sums up the day. After two nights of tapas tours my feet/ankles let me know in no uncertain terms that they were not happy and not inclined to do another tour for at least a couple of days. So damn. Luckily Peter is available to take out the tours I have already booked so I don’t have to cancel and disappoint people, but this is really getting me down. It’s been over two weeks now and progress is decidedly SLOW. Then I thought I could put the day to good use and catch up on blog posts, especially for Sevilla Tapas. But NO. Bloody internet stopped working, and even using the back-up mobile modem from Vodafone doesn’t help as it runs slow as molasses and keeps cutting out. Grrrr…
How’s your week going?

It was a crazy busy day, starting off with catching an earlyish train to Jerez for a massive wine tasting – about 50 wineries from across Spain were showing off their best. This was followed by this fabulous lunch you can see up there, after which I had a bit of time to catch up with my friend Sylvie who happened to be in town for the day before I had to race back to the station to get the train back home (made it with 7 minutes to spare). As soon as I got back to Sevilla I took the tram to the centre in time to pick up my tapas tour clients for the evening. Phew! I’d like to write more about the wine tasting event on Azahar in Sevilla. Perhaps next week…?
