Today is Loki’s “official” birthday, chosen by me because, of course, we don’t know exactly when he was born. The vet wrote his birthday as being on the 8th in his little health certificate book, but since both Azar and I have birthdays on the 7th (April and January) I moved it up a day. It was on February 7th that I first wrote here about choosing him, and had been told that he was about two months old.
And so today – más o menos – he turns one year old.

So you know how Loki has been channelling Sunny lately in terms of taking over his comfy stool with cushion … well yesterday I was surprised to see that old whippersnapper Azar take over that place. I’d been working most of the afternoon in the livingroom and had put the electric fire on, which I guess the boys found irresistable. But clearly there wasn’t room for two on the stool. Much better when they can bask together on the sofa…

Loki has been a bit annoying of late, always with his little mew and clamouring for attention (trust me, mew-mew-mew all the time stops being cute after a couple of hours). Then today I thought that he might be channelling Sunny again and so I got out Sunny’s stool, put it a safe distance from the electric heater and … Loki is suddenly as happy (and quiet) as a clam, sitting between me and Nog as we work away on a chilly Sunday afternoon.
