A new month in a new(ish) year and some new changes for We Love Tapas. María and Marta have just joined the WLT team and I couldn’t be happier. They are both lovely, outgoing, charming and eager to learn. So along with Olga, who will be taking over promotion and other admin duties mid-February, am looking forward to lots of growth, both professionally and personally. 🙂

What? Is it that time again? Seems like it was just a year ago that I posted my first ever report on International Croquette Day. However, unlike last year, I was working today (a lunchtime Sherry & Tapas Tour) and so couldn’t get out to seriously croquetear. BUT… it turns out I do have quite a photo collection of croquetas I have enjoyed over the years. So here are a few of them.

Started off the new year with a lunchtime sherry & tapas tour. While there are some new plans afoot for 2019, I am loving these sherry tours so much and hope to do a lot more of them this year, along with some other sherry-oriented activities. This time I ended up with five new sherry converts. 🙂

Today I took Pam & Gord out on an impromptu Sherry & Tapas Tour. This one was a bit more informal and spontaneous, and ended up being a lot of fun. Since we are leaving tomorrow for a couple of days in Jerez it seemed a good way to set them up, though they already know a fair bit about sherry already. As usual, plans are coming together last minute, but they are in for a real treat, or two. Stay tuned…

I’ve said it before but, man, my life would be so much poorer without Twitter and (more recently) Instagram. Last night I finally got to meet Donna & Dave, who I met via Victor @welovemalaga, another friend I also met on Twitter many years ago. D & D have been to Málaga several times but this was their first visit to Sevilla and they came out on a tapas tour with me. Hopefully we will meet up in Málaga next time!
