A fabulous day out with my fabulous We Love Tapas team Nell and Elena. I was showing them the route for our Tasting Triana Tour and so of course they also had to taste EVERYTHING (seen hear sampling the fried quail at Casa Ruperto). Next week it’s Sherry Class!

The day after our epic meal at Cañabota I took the Renoir boyz out for a Tasting Triana Tour. A market visit with jamón and manzanilla followed by a visit to three bars and plenty of walking around. Aside from Frank it was their first time in Triana so it was a FULL DAY in all kinds of ways. Food, drink, experiences… and tiles! Good times.

Back in 2013 Jason from Austin Texas joined one of my tapas tours as a solo traveller and had a wonderful time. Then I got an email from him this spring saying “it’s your friend Jason!” telling me he was coming back to Sevilla with his daughter and son-in-law and we started planning a private tapas tour for them, which happened last night. It was a lovely evening and, as they are still here for a few days, I am sure I will be hearing back from them. Love when this happens, seeing people again and knowing they enjoyed their time with me so much they want to meet up again.
An aside, just to make the evening even more special, on my way home two young guys zipped past me on electric scooters and suddenly one yelled out “Viva Sevilla Tapas!”. I didn’t even see their faces, but I assume they were waiters heading home after a bar shift. Anyhow, made me smile.

The We Love Tapas family continues to grow! Say hola to our latest lovely team members Nell, Mario and Elena. So along with Mila that makes four and I honestly couldn’t be happier with these guys. It’s funny how my WLT team always seems to find me, a bit like cats. Anyhow, there’s still some training to do but I have a good feeling about this new team.

It’s World Tourism Day and I was invited to this spectacular event at the newly reopened Artillery Factory (sounds weird but it’s actually an amazing set of buildings that used to house the factory and now is set up for cultural events such as this). But as luck would have it I am booked with a Sevilla Tapas Tour this evening and so had to decline the invitation. Duty first! Anyhow, it also seems fitting to celebrate World Tourism Day by being with some visitors and helping them have an a fabulous experience here.
