It was my first Finos Palmas tasting since 2013, so I was pretty excited when I got an invitation to this year’s special event in Sevilla, which was held in the exquisite Palacio de las Dueñas. Read all about it (and see more pics!) over here on Azahar’s Sevilla…

When Jason @CortadoIngles was in town last month we had a lovely afternoon out tapearing and he promised to return soon with his wife Louise @ingamell. Which happened this weekend! They are here on a Sevilla getaway, celebrating their 10th anniversary, and they very generously let me tag along and drag them around town on a VERY RAINY afternoon, to sample some of my fave tapas at a few bars that I love. 
It was great to finally meet lovely Louise, a refreshingly no-nonsense chica with a great sense of humour (that Jason is a lucky guy!), and I hope we will have the chance to all meet up again… and again.

I first met Charlie & Sam @vinoveroleigh in London last August, when I was invited to a rooftop dinner at our mutual friend Oli’s place. So I was delighted to hear that they were going to Jerez for a few days and would be stopping by Sevilla on their way home. Being sherry lovers, well, I guess this was inevitable…

After first meeting Seanna Yee (aka @sherrysips) last year when she visited Sevilla, I was thrilled to hear she’d be back in Jerez for an extended visit this month. You may recall that I popped over to Jerez for the day a couple of weeks ago to visit Seanna and friends, and we made plans for her to come back to Sevilla for a day.
And what a day it was, packed full of sherry, great tapas, meeting friends, cuddling cats… we even watched a sherry film El Misterio del Palo Cortado while taking a break here at Casa Az. Just like last time Seanna was a hit with the cats and she even made this short video of marvellous Morcilla at play.
So great to see you again, my dear friend and “sherry sister”. Hasta pronto! xx
