Last night I was invited to attend the launch of a new intimate venue at the Museo del Baile Flamenco. The room is long and low and seats 45 people in two rows, so there isn’t a bad seat in the house. And as you can see, there is also no stage (making it difficult to take photos) but I enjoyed the cosy ambiance. I also liked that it was totally accoustic – unplugged flamenco! It’s really as close as you can get to a peña with a professional show and I plan to start incorporating it into my Flamenco & Tapas Tours.

After recently jazzing up my tapas sites (as well as this blog and We Love Tapas), I had a look around for a new look for my travel sites. I wanted some continuity between them, and also a functional and easy to navigate theme. So far I’m happy with these, which I tinkered with a bit more this week. What do you think? Last weekend I got to do something very special, which was to visit the recently excavated sub-basement under one of the Alcázar palaces. You can read more about it on the Sevilla blog: Alcázar Underground.

I’m not a huge fan of the huge metal cones of light (especially this one that has blatant advertising for an insurance company on it) but it was pretty cool to be able to walk through it and be surrounded by lights.
