professional-clientsRyan, plotting world domination…

Comes a time during every new We Love Tapas guide’s training period when they do a practice tour with a couple of specially chosen victims “clients”, and me tagging along to “observe and intimidate”.   😉

This time up I called once again upon dynamic duo Ang & Ryan (aka @JetsLikeTaxis) for their services. It was their third time and I have to say they are really getting the hang of it. So much so that next time I might just be able to stay home and wait for their report.

pro-clientsMost uncharacteristically *ahem* the tour ended with a penúltima (or three) at The Office (aka La Azotea Santa Cruz). As you can see, nobody was the slightest bit inebriated. Thanks again, guys!

cooling-down-and-warming-upWell okay, it’s not COLD here yet, but I did have to start using a light blanket this week instead of just a top sheet. And I’ve started cooking again, rather than mostly making salads, tortillas, etc at home. This pollo al ajillo actually has lots of garlicky sauce under the rice and chicken… made this batch with just thighs. Am beginning to think that chicken breasts are highly over rated. Plus am totally hooked on courgetti…

charlie-sam-1I first met Charlie & Sam @vinoveroleigh in London last August, when I was invited to a rooftop dinner at our mutual friend Oli’s place. So I was delighted to hear that they were going to Jerez for a few days and would be stopping by Sevilla on their way home. seanna-sipsAfter first meeting Seanna Yee (aka @sherrysips) last year when she visited Sevilla, I was thrilled to hear she’d be back in Jerez for an extended visit this month. You may recall that I popped over to Jerez for the day a couple of weeks ago to visit Seanna and friends, and we made plans for her to come back to Sevilla for a day.

And what a day it was, packed full of sherry, great tapas, meeting friends, cuddling cats… we even watched a sherry film El Misterio del Palo Cortado while taking a break here at Casa Az. Just like last time Seanna was a hit with the cats and she even made this short video of marvellous Morcilla at play.

So great to see you again, my dear friend and “sherry sister”. Hasta pronto! xx
