peter’s new look

So obviously the “steam punk” look from the other day weren’t REALLY Peter’s new glasses. 😉 These are! A recent eye exam showed that he not only needed a stronger prescription for reading but, for the first time, he also needed help with distance vision. Hence these new glasses with progressive lenses and a nifty magnetic snap-on sunglasses option, so he only needs one pair. He’s still getting used to them, but it’s already made a big difference, not always having to put-on-take-off reading glasses while out and about (reading menus, looking at iphone, etc). But apparently stairs are still a bit tricky…

Since Tomoko stayed at my place to look after the cats while I was on holiday in the Basque Country last month, she has been missing her favourite boy. And well, I think Loki has missed her too. So while Tomoko was back in town for the day we met up for lunch and then spent some time at Casa Azahar with the beasts before she had to catch her train back to Jerez. Lovely afternoon.

Another treat during my San Sebastián Getaway was finally getting to meet Caroline (aka @floweries1) and her husband Steve. We’ve been Twitter pals for ages and they have already chalked up 11 visits to Donostia, so when I found out our next visits were going to coincide we made plans to meet up. It was a great evening out and now I am looking forward to when they are FINALLY going to visit Sevilla with friends in November.

Tomoko is here! She is going to be cat & house sitting while I am away, which will also be a nice holiday for her (she loves cats!). But we have a couple of days together to catch up – and for Tomoko to learn an the Stupid Cat Rules.  😉

Tonight I took her out on a preview of my new San Lorenzo Tapas Tour, which will be starting in September. I think it’s going to be great.
